| JTC holds protest rally | | | Et Plus Report
Jammu, Mar 18 : Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) held rally against government at Jagti Migrant Camp Nagrota under the leadership of Shadi Lal Pandita President of the committee.
Addressing the protestors, the leaders have said that the government is bent upon to harass the Kashmiri Pandit Community by effecting prolonged power curtailments to force this community for evicting this Migrant camp. They have further said that the government seems to be interested in evicting the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant community from the state as such this kind of harassment is being made to the community in Jagti Migrant camp.
In his address, Shadi Lal Pandita expressed his grave concern over the attitude of the government authorities who are bent upon to force the Migrant employees to make payments of the electric charges failing which their pay dues are to be kept with held. He said that the government of India has been bearing all charges of the Migrant camps in Jammu as such demanding electric charges from the Migrants putting up in Jagti Migrant camp is only to harass the community.
"Till permanent rehabilitation of this migrant community is ensured and losses suffered by the community on account of loss of their properties during past 23 years also needs to be restored after which the community shall bear the electric charges" he added. |
