JAMMU, Mar 18 : In its endeavour to extend a helping hand to the weaker sections of the society, the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) provided financial aid to deserving widows and poor members belonging to the community.
On the occasion, Member Legislative Council (MLC) and Former Minister Jugal Kishore Sharma was Chief Guest on the occasion, who distributed cheques amounting to Rs 60,000 to the widows and economically backward persons.Speaking on the occasion, MLC Jugal Kishore lauded the efforts of Brahmin Sabha in providing financial assistance to the needy community members.Ved Parkash Sharma welcomed the chief guest, dignitaries and members of Sabha while Satya Paul Sharma conducted the programme.Daya Shanker and Dr K.L Khajuria were also honoured for their valuable services to community. The meeting was attended by Satya Nand Sharma, Dr Som Dutt, P P Sharma, Chander Mohan Sharma, Nanak Chand, Madan Lal Sharma, Advocate P C Sharma, Surinder Sharma, Pt Kerni Sharma, Pt Jagan Nath Sharma, Chander Shekhar, Shiv Ram Sharma, and S.S Baru.
