| Pahari leader demands white paper on alleged multi crore embezzlement | | | Et Plus Report
Rajouri, Mar 18 : Demanding white paper on the funds released for Pahari community on account of scholarship/Funds utilised for inmates in Pahari Hostels and development, State Vice president and National Executive member of Bhartiya Janta Party and senior Pahari leader, Advocate Vibodh Gupta has alleged that 60 percent funds meant for Pahari community have been misused with the Nexus of Pahari Advisory Board.
He also said that some particular people with the support of some politicians in the caolition Govt, are openly looting crores of rupees in different Pahari Hostels by withdrawing amounts fraudulently. Gupta has also alleged Pahari Advisory Board has not conducted any administrative inspection/ Audit since more than last six years. He has also questioned the functioning of J&K State Board for the Development of Pahari speaking people terming it as a biased board towards Hindus and Sikh Paharies. It is pertinent to mention here that majority of Paharies belong to the Hindu community as in dist.
Rajouri amoung 60% Muslims ,33% Muslims belong to Gujjar community who are already having the S.T. status amoung Hindus 7% Hindus only have S.T. status which means in Dist Rajouri among Muslim s only 27% are Paharies and more than 33% are Hindu Paharis.
Spokesman Pahari action Committee Umer Mir and Gen Secretary Pahari Students Union Shieraz Ahmed said that Pahari Hostels have become the private property of N.C. Congress Politicians and poor Pahari students are facing lot of problems and harassment. |
