| Man held for abducting teenage girl | | |

Anantnag, Mar 18 : Police today apprehended 30 years old man from South Kashmir's Anantnag district for allegedly abducting 16 year old girl a week ago.
Abductor, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Tedoo from Gawas Aishmuqam had lured a 16 year old girl a week ago after which Police Station Aishmuqam constituted a special team for recovering the abducted minor girl, however it took them a week to recover the girl from nearby area. the anger was brewing amongst the locals owing to failure of police to recover the girl and nab the culprit. "There was tension in the area but we arrested the culprit and didn't allow anti-social elements to exploit the situation," Deputy Superintendent of Polce Mohammad Arif Shah said, adding abductor has been arrested under relevant sections. |
