| Four labourers injured in explosion | | | ET Plus Report
Jammu, Mar 18 : Four labourers were injured, three of them seriously during an explosion for the construction of road in Budhal area of Rajouri on Sunday. The victims have been identified as Mohd Irfan of village Dhanore (Rajouri), Ali Mohd resident of Srinagar, Mohd Latief and Mohd Ikhlaq both resident of Keri (Budhal). All were working for Rajouri based contractor and were engaged in the construction work on Khawas to Uddan road about 26 kilometers north of Budhal. The victims were first brought to PHC at Khawas and after first aid, they were shifted to government medical college hospital Jammu via Khawas-Treru road. Sources said that the incident took place when a mine planted for breaking big rocks blasted before time. But some reliable sources said that the incident reportedly took place on the roof of a house where blasting material was dumped near the construction site. Incharge Khawas police post could not be contacted due to poor telecom services . However, police officer at Rajouri said that the matter is under investigation. |
