DB grants two weeks time to seek reply from State
PIL Challenging RTI Rules 2012

Jammu, Mar 18 (JNF) : In a public interest litigation filed by one BR Manhas a practicing advocate challenging the J&K RTI Rules 2012 and seeking restoration of RTI Rules 2010 which was framed for the benefit of the residents of the J&K, A Division Bench of State High Court Jammu Wing comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justices Dhiraj Singh Thakur today granted two weeks further time to file the reply. Division Bench after hearing petitioner BR Manhas in person whereas Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra appearing for the state, took serious note for not filling the reply, observed that reply February 27, 2013. In such an important matter the reply was expected to be filed by today.
However, on the request of Sr. AAG Basotra, DB grants two weeks further time to file the reply and directed that the reply be now filed on or before April 8, 2013 with copy in advance to counsel opposite. Division Bench also directed Registry to list this PIL on April 15, 2013.
