| Krishna Nagar residents posts memorandum to Sadhotra | | | ET Plus Report Jammu, Mar 18 : Residents of Mohalla Krishna Nagar today sent a memorandum through speed post to Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Minister for Planning-Development and Labour-Employment for consideration their problems. In the memorandum, the residents alleged that the sanitary conditions of the locality have been deteriorating every day and the Municipal Corporation authorities have shut their eyes. They further alleged that the dirty nullah flowing in the mid of the Mohalla remains choked due to which bad odour spreads throughout and spoils the whole environment and sanctity of the locality. The residents stated that few months ago, they had met the Municipal Commissioner, K L Kahjuria and apprised him the problems being faced by them on account of overflow of the nullah during the rainy days and sought the solution but there was no positive response from his side. They also stated that the concerned MLA too is not paying attention towards the matter. As such, the residents urged the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to issue orders to the JMC directing it to divert the flow of the dirty nullah to some other side in the interest of their life and health. They proposed to the Government that the PWD Department be directed to construct a separate passage for outgoing vehicles after taking required space from compound area of the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Canal Road which is quite adjacent to the mohalla. |
