| Marwah, Padder delegations call on Wani, Kichloo | | | ET Plus Report
Jammu, Mar 18 : The deputations of Sarpanches, Panches hailing from Marwah, Warwan and Padder areas of Kishtwar District today called on R & B Minister Abdul Majid Wani and MOS Home, R & B Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo at civil secretariat Jammu and appraised them about various problems being faced by them.
The deputations demanded expedite in construction of Kishtwar-Marwah road via Dachhan and also on Inshan-Nawapachi road. They also demanded restoration of Matigawran-Inshan road with immediate effect by expediting the pace of snow clearance at Marghan top and also at Sinthan top. Warwan people also apprised the minister about the slow progress of construction work on Inshan-Basmeena road. They stress for special recruitment drive in the Marwah Tehsil of Kishtwar District and regular air service for the area till the area gets road connectivity.
The deputation of Padder people appraised both the minister about delay in forest clearance of Ishtyari-Ghandari road, the project of which stands sanctioned under PMGSY. They also demanded up gradation of Gulabgadh-Pangi (HP) road for better road connectivity to far flung areas of Padder Tehsil. Issue of suspension of work on 32 KM Gulabgard-Machail road were also raised by the people and demanded for restart of work on this prestigious road project which provides connectivity to Machail Temple where every year more than 2.50 lac pilgrims visited.
Both Ministers paid attention over the demands of deputations and assured them that their problems will be addressed on top priority. They also initiated necessary steps for fixing meeting with forest minister so that forest clearance of several road projects could be cleared at an earliest. |
