Kathua, Mar 18: Four Panchayats alleging misappropriation of MGNREGA’s funds and ignored the labourer for being paid their wages which have been pending since 10 months.
Protestors also claimed that they even had lodged a complaint with CM’s Grievance Cell but the response to the same remained futile.
The agitated people of the four Panchayats namely Mangloor, Chilak, Tali and Katli today held a massive protest demonstration and sat on dharna in the front of ACD office in the premises of Kathua Secretariat here today. The protestors alleged the officials concerned are ignoring their demand to release long pending wages. They further charge that that some of officials demand enticement upto 15%. They also demanded action against concerned BDO i.e. BDO Hiranagar. Protestors also claimed that they even had lodged a complaint with CM’s Grievance Cell but the response to the same remained futile. Sudesh Kumar, Shiv Ram, Khushi Ram, Gobind Ram, Swaran Singh, Vaishano Devi, Sita Devi, Rita Devi, and several others participated in this protest demonstration. |
