| First Udhampur woman gets PhD (Music) | | | Udhampur , Mar 18: After being awarded doctorate degree, Dr Sunita Sharma today maintained that she is first woman from Udhampur to complete her doctorate in Music.
In a well attended press conference, Dr Sunitya Sharma informed that she has been awarded degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Music by
Indira Kala Sangeet University of Khairagarh (Chhatisgarh). She worked on topic of ‘Analytical Study of Traditional Music related with Duggar Culture’ under the supervision of Prof Dr Bhushan Lal Koul, a renowned Musician of J&K.
After completion her post graduation i.e. MA (Music) on 18/11/12, Dr Sunita Sharma got herself registered for doctorate in Music Indira Kala Sangeet Vishawvidyalaya, Khairagarh (Chhatisgarh) on the topic ''Analstical Study of Traditional Music related to Duggar Culture'.
She recently has completed her doctorate and was awarded the Ph.d degree from the said University.
