| Would myself monitor action taken on points raised by members: Gul | | | JAMMU: The Speaker, Mr. Mubarak Gul today assured the members that whatever issues they raise during Zero Hour are being taken seriously by the Government. He said the issues raised in the House are taken due note of by the Government and appropriate actions are taken. Responding to many members’ grievances, the Speaker said he himself would be monitoring the action taken on the issues raised in the House from time to time particularly during the Zero Hour. He assured the members that whatever they speak or point out in the House would be duly taken note of by the Government. Meanwhile, Minister of State for Home, Mr. Sajjad Ahmad Kickloo today assured the House that the issue of arrest of some youth in Shopian during the last couple of days would be thoroughly looked into and appropriate steps for their release will be taken after viewing the nature of charges. Responding to a point raised by Mr. M. Y. Tarigami during Zero Hour in the House today, he said no innocent would be unnecessarily harassed. Earlier, raising the point, Mr. Tarigami said the town has been observing shut down for the pas t three days owing to these arrests and all activities have come to a standstill in the entire Shopian town. |
