JAMMU, Apr 2 : “Kashmiri Pandits are an integral part of Kashmir and every effort will be made to ensure their return to Valley with dignity and honour.
This was stated by Minister for Agricultural Production, Ghulam Hassan Mir, while interacting with a deputation of Pandit Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PPNBMT) which called on him here today. They pleaded to bringing the proposed bill in the J&K Assembly for preserving the Hindu Temples, Shrines and Religious places in Jammu and Kashmir. The deputationists including B .L. Saraf, B. L. Bhat, R. L. Pandita, R. N. Jattu and K. K. Khosa demanded strict measures like the proposed Act for protection and preservation of temples, shrines and other religious properties in the Valley. The Minister assured the deputationists that government will consider their demand with open mind.“Kashmiri displaced pandits have constitutional right to safeguard their rights, demands and it is the constitutional duty of the government to protect their rights” Mir added.
