| Rs. 199 lakh approved under AIBP in 2007: Sham | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 5: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Mr. Sham Lal Sharma while replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Mr. Bashir Ahmad Magray informed the House that the Lift Irrigation Scheme Wasoora, Pulwama was approved under AIBP at an estimated cost of Rs. 199 lakh comprising Rs. 19.90 lakh as matching state share and Rs. 179.10 lakh as central assistance.
The Minister said that an amount of Rs. 9 lakh as matching State share and Rs. 179.10 lakh as central assistance have been incurred ending March 2013. He said, besides installation and testing of Electro-Mechanical components, the construction work on pump house and Delivery tank stands completed. He said an amount of Rs. 188.10 lakh have been expended from 2007 to 2011.
Mr. Sharma further informed that the Scheme was started in 2007-08 and was to be completed during 2009-10. He said that the scheme could not be commissioned due to cost escalation and court intervention on land compensation which is still pending for decision in the Court, adding that it will be commissioned during the current financial year subject to settlement of Court case. |
