| Naaz reviews Baisakhi arrangements | | | POONCH: To review the arrangements for ensuing Baisakhi festival, Vice Chairman Gujjar and Bakarwal Advisory Board, Ch. Bashir Ahmed Naaz convened a high level meeting with senior officers of various departments and prominent citizens.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding uninterrupted water and power supply, sanitation, medicare, transportation, security and other related issues for the auspicious occasion.
Sh. Naaz gave necessary instructions to all the concerned departments to make foolproof arrangements well in time so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience.He asked PHE and PDD authorities to provide uninterrupted water and power supply, the Municipal Committee Poonch was asked to ensure cleanliness at Dera Nangali Sahib and in the town by deploying additional safai karamcharies, the Health authorities were directed to provide adequate medicare facilities. Similarly the Police and Traffic authorities were directed to ensure security and traffic arrangements.
He said that timely redressal of public grievances of the people of the people of the district besides empowerment and upliftment of marginalized lot of the society is his first priority. He emphasized on formulating policies which help in inclusive growth and emancipation of suppressed and neglected lot of the society. He stressed that socio-economic growth of Gujjar/Bakarwal, OBCs and other weaker sections is must for the overall development of the state. |
