BUDGAM: MLA Budgam, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi today distributed cheques worth Rs. 77 lakh among the progressive farmers of district Budgam under various centrally sponsored district sector schemes. The progressive farmers were also provided incentives for setting up of Vermicompost Units, Mushroom Units, Polygreen Houses and Power Tillers and also for mechanisation of agriculture practices. On the occasion, the MLA stressed for the use of modern technology for better yield of agriculture produce. He also emphasized for transfer of technology from lab to land. Among others, District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Shah and officers of the concerned departments were also present on the occasion.
