| Law Enforcement Agency raids Godowns and Shops | | Special Flying Squads constituted throughout Valley | | SRINAGAR: In order to curb the illegal business of pesticides, fertilizers, seeds besides check the sale of spurious pesticides and fertilizers, Law Enforcement Agency of Agriculture department have made special flying squads, which is carrying out raids in all districts of Kashmir Valley. In this regard, a raid was conducted by the team of officers of Law Enforcement Agency Agriculture Department in district Anantnag were various godowns of pesticides/insecticide dealers were inspected and various dealers were found running their business in contravention of insecticide act 1968 and insecticide rule 1983. In this connection, 25 kgs of Indofil M-45, 43 litres of score and 380 kgs of Artracol were put on sale stop from Rehbar Agro Chemicals, General Bus Stand Anantnag for Contravention of Insecticide Act 1968, 400 kgs of Antracol 60 kgs of Coprex ,80 kgs of Systhane and 200 kgs of Bayear were put on sale stop from Ashiq Agro Chemicals Aftab Market Anantnag which was found without license, 400 litres of Chloropyriphos Krishan and 100 kgs of Index from Agro Service Centre Mehdi Kadal Anantnag which was found without lincence,600 kgs of Bendaco, 93 kgs of Boon,200 litres of Flash, 130 kgs of Roko and 40 kgs of Boon from Manzoor Agro sales Bijbehara, Anantnag were found without license and 900 kgs of M-45 Indofil,100 kgs of companion and 50 litres of Flash were put on sale stop from Salroo Agro Chemicals Centre Bazar, Bijbehara, Anantnag. Meanwhile the farming community is advised to ask for cash memos from the licensed dealers while making for purchases of Pesticides and Fertilizers. |
