| Boy shot dead in Nagpur for protecting female friend | | | Nagpur: Twenty-three year old Roshan Samreet was shot dead by two unidentified men on Wednesday in Nagpur after he confronted the duo for allegedly misbehaving with his female friend.
Eyewitnesses said that the unidentified persons approached the girl when Samreet had gone to a nearby shop, CNN-IBN reported.
The girl raised an alarm and called Samreet for help when the two bike-borne eve-teasers asked for her phone number. On being challenged by Samreet, the duo shot at the young man from a very close range.
Samreet was immediately shifted to a hospital in a critical condition but he succumbed to the bullet injuries.
Police are still clueless about the incident that happened between 7.15pm to 7.30pm in busiest area of Nagpur city.
Even a police checkpost was fired upon by unidentified individuals, which was raised, after the first shooting incident. One person was arrested and the police are on the lookout for three more. |
