JAMMU : MLA Vijaypur, S S Slathia, inaugurated a newly constructed Panchayat Ghar here today at Meen Sarkar Barjani Talab.
The Panchayat Ghar has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 20 lakh by Rural Development Department under the MGNREGA and 13 FC for convenience of the people of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Slathia said that the coalition government, led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, was committed to strengthen the infrastructure of the state for which many ambitious projects have been launched during last four years.
He further said that various flagship programmes launched under centre and state funding in every nook and corner has brought a discernible change in the development profile of the state.
He said massive developmental programmes besides creating better road connectivity network , provisions of safe drinking water, upgradation of health and education infrastructure, have also generated employment opportunities for the youth of the state. |
