| Arrangements for Me’raj-un-Nabi (SAW), Nanga Baji finalized in Bandipora | | |
BANDIPORA : Arrangements for observing Me’raj-un-Nabi (Sallalaho Alihe Wasalam) in Bandipora district were finalized during a meeting of concerned officers at Bandipora with Deputy Commissioner, Mr. M.Y. Zargar in chair.
The Deputy Commissioner on this occasion directed the officers to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply besides adequate transport arrangements, security, ration, LPG, medicare facilities, firewood and upkeep and cleanliness particularly in and around the shrine at Ahme-Sharief during the Urs days starting June 06 and also for Friday following the Urs Sharief. He said that everything should be in place well in advance so that the devotees are fully facilitated by the administration. He issued directions for installation of halogen lights at the Ziaratgah.
It was given out that in addition to security and other arrangements, one D.G Set, water tanker, fully equipped ambulance and a fire tender would be kept available at the shrine.
Arrangements for annual Urs of Nanga Baji (RA) being observed at Malangam were also reviewed during the meeting. The officers were asked to ensure every possible arrangement for the pilgrims during the Urs days.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed for adequate transport arrangements for ferrying of pilgrims to Malangam and vice-versa. |
