HANDWARA, June 6: To make the progressive farmers aware about the emerging technologies aiming to boost the productivity and production in agriculture and allied sectors, Farmer’s Training Centre of Department of Agriculture Kashmir is organizing Farmer’s Training Camps throughout the Valley. In this connection, farmer’s training camp under Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), was organised at Town Hall Handwara here today. On this occasion, farmers were advised to adopt modern technology in agriculture, allied sectors and avail the benefits of the schemes launched by the Agriculture and allied departments besides remain updated with the latest techniques and the machinery. Chief Agriculture Officer, Kupwara advised the farmers to be in touch with field functionaries of the department for support and guidance. He apprised about the measures to be adopted for the different crops in the current Kharief Season. Training Officer said that training camps of farmers shall provide them opportunity to interact with experts of Agriculture & allied departments. In the camp participating farmers interacted with the experts of Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Sheep and Animal Husbandry departments on various issues related to adoption of scientific techniques in agriculture and allied sectors. Besides, large number of farmers, officers & field functionaries of Agriculture and allied departments attended the function. |
