| Speaker pays tributes to Afzal Beg, Mohiud Din Shah | | | SRINAGAR: The Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Mubarak Gul has paid glowing tributes to Late Mirza Mohammad Afzal Beg and Late Kh. Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shah on their death anniversaries falling on June 11.
Highlighting their contributions in the State’s socio-political and development fields, Mr. Gul described them as man of Samaritan. “They sacrificed a lot and tolerated the hardships to uphold the principles of democracy and welfare and development of the people of the State”, he said in his statement today.
The Speaker said that the contribution of late Beg Sahib and Kh. Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Shah for the welfare of the people of the State will be remembered for ever. They worked without any consideration of creed, caste, color, region and religion, he added. Mr. Gul prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and wished well-being and prosperity to the people of the State. |
