| Sangarmal to be a landmark business hub in Sgr: Jora | | | Srinagar: Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies, Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora while chairing a meeting with the representatives of Sangarmal Shopping Complex said that the Coalition Government is committed to make the Shopping Complex a business hub and unique destination for customers and tourists visiting Srinagar city. He assured the representatives that every possible step would be taken to make the Shopping Complex tourist attractive and necessary amenities would be provided to the Shopkeepers, so that they may not feel any inconvenience. He said that SDA is also planning to construct conference hall and office spaces on the land available adjacent to existing Sangarmal City Centre to cope up with the shortage of office spaces for various national multi- national companies which want to have an address in this prime area. Mr.Jora issued instructions to the Vice Chairman, Srinagar Development Authority, Mr. Muhammad Shafi Rather to take necessary steps in connection with the issues highlighted by the Sangarmal Traders Welfare Association. The Minister promised the representatives of the Association to visit the area personally shortly. Earlier, the Association members submitted a memorandum and put forth some suggestions including opening of main gate towards M.A Road and making of permanent entertainment park for children and multiplex to increase the customer rush, footfall, maintenance of accelerators, lifts, making fountains functional, sub leasing of vacant spaces i.e. halls, shops, corners in module A to the multinational companies for the promotion of Mall, repairing of bath-rooms and craft bazar etc., opening of left out shops in the craft bazar so that the said craft-bazar is made functional. |
