SRINAGAR: The Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. Ashok Prasad today decorated the newly promoted Superintendents of Police at a simple function held at Police Headquarters (PHQ).
The function was attended by senior police officers including Additional Directors General of Police, Mr. P. L. Gupta and Mr. S. P. Vaid.
The officers decorated with the ranks include Mr. Mohammad Yousuf, Bashir Ahmed Shah and Nasir Ahmed Khan, who were recently elevated by the Government as Superintendents of Police.
On the occasion, Mr. Prasad congratulated the officers, and hailed their contribution in strengthening the work culture in the department. He emphasized upon them to rededicate themselves for the service of the people, ensuring quick disposal of the day-to-day office business.
He expressed his hope that the elevation would bring new spirit of public service among the officers. The function was also attended by IGP (Headquarters), Mr. Deepak Kumar, AIG (Personnel), Mr. Ghulam Hassan Bhat and other police officers. |
