| Finale of Choona Hai Asmaan held at SKICC | | |

SRINAGAR, June 16:The finale of ‘Choona Hai Asmaan’ Season-2012, a Talent Hunt Programme of J&K Police Department was held at SKICC here on Saturday evening.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah was the Chief Guest and Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Director General Police, Ashok Prasad, various legislators and large number of music lovers were present on the occasion. The known Bollywood Music Composer Anu Malik, noted Singer Sadhana Sargam, Producer Ashok Thakrey and local Singer and Composer, Waheed Jeelani were judges at the finale in which various participants exhibited their talent in senior and junior categories.
In the male senior category Rouvjeet Singh bagged the trophy and Rs. 10,000 cash while Rakesh Kumar secured 2nd position and received cash award of Rs. 5,000. In female senior category Manju Bhalla won the first prize and Rs. 10,000 cash while Masarat was adjudged runner up in this category. She also received Rs. 5,000 cash and runner’s-up trophy.
In the junior male category Jagan Jout Singh received first position and winner’s trophy besides Rs. 10,000 cash. The runner’s up trophy was received by Hafiz Bilal Mir who also received Rs. 5,000 cash.In female junior category Arooj and Shriya were adjudged joint winners. Rakesh and Roujoot Singh also won Anu Malik Trophy. |
