SRINAGAR: A meeting of the Committee on Assurance (AC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council was held under the Chairmanship of MLC, S. Dharambir Singh Oberoi here today.
Threadbare discussion was held on various pending Government Assurances given by the Government on the floor of the House from time to time since 2008.
Legislators, Mr. Javed Ahmed Rana, and Ghulam Nabi Monga gave their valuable suggestions to improve the functioning of the Committee.
The Chairman of the Committee highlighted the role of the Assurance Committee
adding that the Committee has to play a pivotal role in getting the Government Assurances implemented by various departments on the ground level.
