JAMMU: The quarterly meeting of Local Advisory Committee of Rural Self Employment Training Institute [SBIRSETI] for the quarter ended 31st March 2013 was held here today under the Chairmanship of Regional Manager, State Bank of India, Jammu, C J Tickoo, at the Institute, in which district officers of various state government departments, banks and NABARD participated.
In his inaugural address, Tickoo laid emphasis on the need for creating awareness among the people so that the unemployed youth take advantage of free of cost training facilities being provided by the Institute.
Director, S K Kandroo, presented the annual activities report giving details about conducting of various programmes, trainees settled and credit linked by the Institute during the financial year 2012-13.
Tickoo exhorted upon all the departments and concerned agencies to cooperate in sponsoring maximum number of youth for undergoing training in various activities to root out menace of unemployment. The Committee also approved annual action plan for the year 2013-14.
Lead District Manager, Rohit Mehta, stressed on the need of maintaining close coordination among all concerned agencies to make this social initiative of SBI RSETI a big success.
The members suggested that lists of passed out trainees should be provided to various departments for sponsorship under various subsidy linked govt. schemes to ensure credit linkages as per scale of finance.
The Meeting was also attended by DDM NABARD, Manohar Lal, GM DIC, AGM J&K Bank, District Agriculture Officer, AO DRDA, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Horticulture Officer, Counsellor Employment and other concerned officers.
SBIRSETI Reasi is shortly starting training programme on “Fruit Processing”, “Multi Phone Servicing” and “Prasad Bag Making”, for which interested youth are requested to enrol themselves immediately. |
