SRINAGAR, July 3: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Mr. Shailendra Kumar convened a meeting of divisional level officers to review the arrangements being put in for the ensuing holy month of Ramadhan here today. Stressing for availability of essentials, Mr. Kumar asked the concerned officers to constitute market checking squads for curbing black marketing, profiteering and adulteration of milk. He stressed for intensifying market checking in every nook and corner of Kashmir division. Regarding the availability of essentials, it was informed that adequate stocks of essentials including rice, atta, sugar and k-oil are available at the sale outlets of CA&PD. Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir emphasised for ensuring uninterrupted power supply, drinking water facilities and cleanliness in and around mosques and shrines throughout the holy month. He also exhorted for better transport facilities. The meeting was also informed that medical aid camps shall be set up at Hazratbal, Jamia Masjid, Srinagar and Eid Gah for facilitating the devotees. Divisional Commissioner directed JKPCC for expediting the renovation of Eid Gah. Among others, Deputy Commissioners of Anantnag, Baramulla, Budgam, Ganderbal district, Chief Engineers of PDD and R&B, Additional Deputy Commissioners of Pulwama, Kulgam and Shopian districts, Joint Director Information besides other divisional level officers participated in the meeting. |
