| Sarpanchs, Panchs meet convened | | | DODA: To review the status of ongoing rural development works in Marmat block of district Doda besides creating awareness regarding devolution of powers to Panchayati Raj Institutions, Assistant Commissioner Development, Doda, Rakesh Kumar convened a meeting of Sarpanchs and Panches of the block at Goha.
Block Development Officer Marmat, Umesh Shan, besides sarpanchs and panches of the block attended the meeting. The ACD stressed upon the panches and Sarpanchs to monitor the works of Rural Development Department in their respective areas for tangible results.
It was revealed in the meeting that under MGNREGA Rs. 367.149 lakh have been utilized while as an amount of Rs. 5.80 lakh has been expended under IAY in Block Marmat during 2012-13.
Similarly, against an availability of Rs. 39.50 lakh , Rs. 25.382 lakh have been expended under BRGF and Rs. 17.75 lakh have been utilized against an availability of Rs. 22 lakh under CD & Panchayat for creation of assets in Panchayats. Besides, an amount of Rs. 15.40 lakh has been expended under 13th FC
for Fixture and Furniture for creation of assets in panchayats in Marmat Block during the year 2012-13.
The ACD directed field functionaries of Rural Development Department to redouble their efforts and hold awareness camps for grass root dissemination of powers and functions of Panchayati Raj Institutions. |
