| Shamim announces Rs. 20 lakh for dev works, Rs. 10 lakh for dispensary | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, July 8 : Chairperson, State Commission for Women Mrs. Shamim Firdous, who is also MLA Habakadal, today visited various areas which include Barbarshah, Gadoodbagh, Bhagwanpora, Chinkral Mohalla Malik Angan and Fatehkadal of Habakaldal constituency and took stock of the pace of on-going developmental works in these areas. A team of officers of Public Health Engineering (PHE), Power Development Department (PDD), Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) and Public Works Department (PWD) accompanied her during the tour. Interacting with the people at different places, the Chairperson said that the after grappling with troubled times for more than two decades, the State under the dynamic leadership Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, is marching forward on full pace towards development and prosperity, adding that it was our mission to provide uniform opportunities of progress and prosperity and justice to all by allocating equal funds among the three regions of the State. Referring to the developmental works under execution in Habakadal constituency, Mrs. Shamim said that the construction work on various micro and macro welfare developmental projects under different sectors is apace; adding that with the completion of these projects the people of the area will get optimum benefits. Mrs Shamim announced Rs 20 lakh for construction of lanes and drains in the area out of her Constituency Development Fund (CDF). She also announced Rs 10 lakh for setting up of Dispensary at Chinkral Mohalla. She stressed upon the authorities of Health Department to initiate necessary steps for setting up of the Dispensary as it was the long pending demand of the area. |
