Active participation of youth in democratic process to give fillip to development in J&K: Mir

DANGARPORA (PATTAN), July 8 : Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that there is remarkable change on the ground in implementation of development programmes in the state. The Minister said this while addressing a public meeting here today. He said that involvement of youth in peace initiatives and giving them sense of responsibility in different fields has helped to bring back development scenario in the state.
Saying that peace is imperative for overall development, the Minister said that people of the state now do not give any heed to anti-social elements who disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the state. He said that everyone now wants development in their respective localities adding that wherever the public representatives visit, a long list of developmental demands are being put forth for early redressal. Cautioning the people against those political parties which are black mailing the sentiments during election time, Mr Mir asked the people to give befitting reply to all those with sensible election process so that they could not become hurdle in the on-going development and prosperity programme lunched due to liberal funding from Centre. He asked the youth to provide your fullest cooperation to realize the dream to make J&K prosperous state.
Referring to the successful holding of Panchayat elections in the state, the Minister said that the first tire of three tire systems is now fully functional and the need of the hour is to complete the constitution of remaining two tiers at the earliest which would help to fully empower the Panchayat Raj in the state.
Taking note of local demands of the people, the Minister assured them that mobile veterinary van would soon be allotted to them to provide best veterinary facilities on their phone call. He said already the irrigation demands of the people have been fulfilled by digging of deep tube well which now irrigates about 800 kanals horticulture land of the area.
