UDHAMPUR : Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Surat Singh, who is also the Adjudicating officer under Food Safety & Standard Act, today imposed a fine of Rs. 15000/- on three defaulters namely Shakti Kumar of Basantgarh, Vishaw Kishore S/O Isher Dass and Rakesh Gupta S/O Ramesh Kumar of Udhampur under the Act.
All the defaulters were found selling miss-branded food items on prosecution being launched by Food Safety Officer, Udhampur, Zulafkar Ali and Food Safety Officer Block Ramnagar, Sanjeev Kumar.
All the three offenders confessed the offence and were warned to desist from carrying out such anti-people activities in future. The Adjudicating Officer asked the Food Safety Officer and the designated officer under the Act to launch public awareness programmes by organizing camps at various locations across the district. |
