Police starts investigation in 'threat letter" to school

Rajouri, July 31: Police has taken cognizance following the recovery of 5 fired AK rifle rounds and a threatening letter to close the school for one month and registered a case under section 7/25 Arms Act.
In a written complaint Rashid Bhat informed the police about the finding of AK rounds and thret letter which subsequently were seized by the police.
"The letter was written on a page of copy addressing the owner Rashid Bhat to close school for one month otherwise it will be blown up, police said.
The letter was also written in Urdu on a copy page. But it is a matter of investigation from where the live rounds came" said DSP, HQ.
Inspector Varinder Gupta, SHO said that the investigation is in progress.
"Bilal may be involved in this matter and Police is trying to match the handwriting of threat letter with that of the students of the class. Here it needs to mention that Bilal is a son of Special. Police Officer (SPO) attached with SOG team of Rajouri police.
"An investigation will soon lead to the source who provided the AK rounds and placed the same in the school," said SHO.
