Alleged misappropriation of Rs 94 lakh in Doda MC HC directs DIG Doda to constitute SIT 7/31/2013 11:54:11 PM Jammu, July 31: In a petition filed by Vice President of ruling National Conference Doda Dr Rehmatullah seeking investigation from primer investigating agency Vigilance Organization or Crime Branch regarding the allegations of misappropriation Rs 9456493 in Doda Municipal Corporation the High Court has directed DIG Doda/Kishtwar/Ramban range to constitute a team for investigation of the case. Justice BL Bhat of HC Jammu Wing after hearing Advocate SS Ahmed appearing for the petitioner and senior AAG Gagan Basotra for the state, observed that taking into consideration the nature of allegations, it would be appropriate that the investigation is handled by a team headed by a highly experienced and skilled officer to be nominated by the DIG. "This exercise shall be done during the course of this week so as to ensure that the investigation is brought to its logical conclusion within a period of one month. The officer heading the team shall take steps to conclude the investigation expeditiously and shall appear in person on the next date of hearing with the case diaries and file status report.
