| Secy Tourism GoI takes stock of work progress of FCI | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 9: Secretary Tourism, Government of India Parvez Dewan today visited the Food Craft Institute at Dhammi Nagrota and took stock of the ongoing work. He was accompanied by Secretary Tourism & Culture Zaffar Ahmed Bhat, Director Tourism Jammu Sojanaya Sharma , Advisor India Tourism Development Corporation Rakesh Wazir, RL Bharti IFS Former Member J&K Public Service Commission. This Institute is sanctioned by the Ministry of Tourism Government of India and Dewan had even released the requisite amount for it and its work is in full swing. Dewan while speaking on the occasion said that this Food Craft Institute was the long pending demand of the hotel industry as well as of the local people because where on one hand it will provide employment opportunities to the people, also fulfil the demand of the hotel industry which is facing acute shortage of skilled man power in the state and prove to be a mile stone for Tourism industry in particular. Zaffer Ahmed Bhatt Secretary Tourism & Culture J&K Govt. briefed Mr.Dewan with regard to the progress of the institute's work and said that it would be completed within shortest possible time. Sojanya Sharma Director Tourism Jammu who is instrumental in all these projects of Jammu region gave brief of all the projects going on at Jammu region. |
