9 injured in two separate mishaps at Kishtwar

Kishtwar, May 9: A labourer engaged by General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF) on construction of Kishtwar-Padder road was today critically injured after a stone hit his head near Kewna area of Dool some 10 KM from Kishtwar. The police identified the labourer as 23 year old Pawan Kumar son of Ram Krishan resident of Dool. As soon as the accident took place, the other labourers engaged in the road construction work raised the alarm an shifted the injured Pawan Kumar to District Hospital Kishtwar from where he was referred to Government Medical Collage Jammu for advance treatment. Doctors at District Hospital Kishtwar termed his condition as critical. In another incident, 8 passengers received minor injuries after a vehicle bearing registration No: JK08A-5197 on its way from Galhar to Padyarna meets with an accident near Putinag Padyarna some 40 KM from Kishtwar. All the injured were shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar from where majority of them were discharged after giving them proper medical treatment as well as the advice by the doctors.
