Jammu, May 9: National Secular Forum (NSF) has demanded ban on entry of outsiders inside Jammu University campus, as their presence in varsity campus has been creating severe problems for genuine students and scholars of university. Addressing the meeting here today, president of NSF, Sukhdev Singh said that hundreds of outsiders could be seen roaming in the premises of University campus, without any valid reasons. "Several outsiders have made it a routine to visit campus and create nuisance. Even several outsiders are also seen sitting in the Central Library", he said, adding that many a times, students and scholars complained about shortage of space in the Library. He further said that time and again, outsiders were found involved in various crimes inside campus but time and again, no concrete action has been taken. He appealed the Jammu University authorities to pass some strictures, to curb the menace of outsiders inside Jammu varsity campus. Among those who were present in the meeting included Barket Ali, Vikram Madhyal, Azaj Shah, Amit Sanotra, PP Singh, Zulfikar Singh and others. |
