FIR lodged against DySP Traffic Doda for 'threatening' a Poonch local

Poonch, May 9: It seems state police is passing through a bad times as after recent suspension of three police personnel including an SHO following a spat with lawyer, no police has registered a FIR against a Dy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Traffic presently posted at Doda and seven others in connection with hostile some locals including a Tata sumo driver over a petty issue. According to sources, following complaint from one Mohd Arif Khan of Mankote Mendhar in Poonch wherein he alleged that DySP Traffic Doda Mohd Farooq Khan has threatened him of dire consequences and even dared to say he doesn't care for any complainant to police.
"The local police have registered a case against FIR 57 u/s 341, 147, 382, 323 and 109 RPC against
Dy SP (traffic) Doda Mohd Farooq Khan and seven others at Police Station Mendhar, sources said.
They said the sequence of the event started from the tiff of nephew of DySP Khan identified namely as Sheeraz Khan s/o Yaqoob Khan of Sakhi Maidan Mendhar of Poonch with one Gohar Khan of Mankote as both were in transport business and were running own Tata Sumos on Rajouri- Poonch route.
" Sheeraz Khan allegedly bullied many a times his counterpart Gohar Khan threatening him of dire consequences as his Uncle (DySP) is a senior Police officer and often gets his passengers shifted in his own vehicle leaving Gohar irritated who with the passage of time have developed a grudge against Sheeraz Khan,' sources added. They said recently irritated over eating away of his day today share of passengers Gohar Khan on way to Poonch intercepted Sheeraz Khan and beat him severely.
"The Sheeraz Khan lodged complaint with Police in this regard and a case was registered against FIR 43 u/s 323, 314 RPC at Police Station Mendhar, sources from Poonch said.
"However in a bid to pacify the matter amicably the family members of Gohar Khan including his maternal (Mama) Mohd Arif Khan contacted DySP to come to Poonch and smothered the matter before it take further an ugly turn between the two confronting youths, sources said, further quoting maternal uncle of Gohar and main complainant stated, "the official instead of understanding the gravity of matter threatened him of dire consequences."
Taking the serious notice of phony threats, Mohd Arif Khan lodged a complaint with Police Station Mendhar, accordingly the police registered the case in this regard against DySP (Traffic) Doda and seven others.
