| K- oil dealer held for alleged black-marketing, 600 Ltrs oil seized | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 9: Police today claimed to have arrested a Kerosene oil dealer for selling oil meant for general public to a bus driver to earn illegitimate profit in R S Pura besides seizing 600 liters of kerosene oil from the spot. Police spokesperson said, "On the basis of information Police party of R S Pura led by Jaipal Sharma, SHO RS Pura conducted a raid in Gulabgarh Basti, R S Pura and arrested Raj Kumar from whose possession 600 liters of Kerosene oil was seized. While the bus driver identified namely as Ruldha Singh of Kool, R S Pura managed to escape from the spot.
Police further said that Raj Kumar is a Kerosene oil dealer of the locality and had drawn this consignment of kerosene oil for distribution among the general public of the area but instead of distribution the same to general public, he was selling oil in bulk to a bus driver to earn illegitimate profit. A case against FIR No 97/14 u/s 3/7 Essential Commodity (EC) Act, 409/109/411 of RPC has been registered at Police Station R S Pura against the accused while the further investigation is going on. |
