| Now girl impersonator held in Class X examination | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 9: Just two days after police arrested two youth for impersonation in matriculation examination, Gandhi Nagar police today arrested one girl from Government (Girls) High School Gandhi Nagar for impersonating in matriculation examination while the actual candidate went absconding. According to police sources, police along with flying squad sleuths from Board of School Education (BOSE) Jammu reached Government (Girls) High School Gandhi Nagar and arrested a girl impersonating for her cousin. Police have identified impersonator as Gurpreet Kour of Bhour Camp Chattha appearing in the place of Tanjeet Kour of Bhour Camp as proxy candidate. "The supervisory staff at examination centre got suspicious about the candidates in the examination Centre of class 10th in Government (Girls) High School, Gandhi Nagar during exam scheduled on Friday," police sources said. Sources said, "When the invigilators cross checked the candidate with the photographs affixed on the examination form they found her to be 'proxy candidate' appearing for other." Accordingly, police was informed and a police team led by SI Manzoor Kohli, acting SHO Gandhi Nagar police station under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh and SP South Rahul mallik rushed to the spot and arrested the impersonator girl. A case under relevant sections has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station in this regard and investigation started.Pertinently, Gandhi Nagar police arrested two impersonators on Tuesday from Government (Boys) Higher Secondary School Gandhi Nagar. |
