Jammu, May 9 : B.L.Razdan, IRS ex-Chief Income Tax Commissioner and a social activist today took over as president of the executive body of Hindu Education Society Kashmir (Regd.) in a simple ceremony organized in Gandhi Memorial College of Education, Raipur Bantalab, Jammu.
The function was attended by a large number of life members of Hindu Education Society Kashmir, including Major General B.N.Dhar, A. K. Dewani, ex-presidents of the society and N.K.Dhar ex-general secretary HESK.
The oath of office was administered by Anil Dhar, outgoing president of the executive body.
Other members who were administered oath of office included B.L.Zutshi, member education, Sunil Tickoo, member finance and A.K.Raina general secretary, Ashok Aima, Satesh Bhan, R.L.Dhar, V.K.Raina and S.K.Raina .They also inducted as elected members of the Executive Body for the term 2014-17.
Hindu Education Society Kashmir (Regd.), a non-political and secular Society founded by some eminent philanthropic Kashmiri Pandits of the valley in 1943 has established a number of educational institutions including Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar; Gandhi Memorial College of Education, Jammu; Gandhi Institute of Mass Communication; Gandhi Industrial Training Institute, Jammu; Gandhi Memorial 10+2 School, Jammu; Gandhi Memorial ETT College Jammu. |
