| Medical Employees Federation holds dharna for release of demands | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, May 9 : One day dharna at Kathua CMO office was held under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan president, Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation today in which large number of employees of whole district participated. The leaders expressed concern on the part of authorities' for not fulfilling the genuine demands of the employees and delaying tactics. The main demands were highlighted as, immediate clearance of DPC of various categories and filling up of all vacant posts in health and family welfare dept strictly as per seniority at the earliest, release of salary under 2211 family welfare employees working under new pension scheme and consolidated safaiwalas who are without wages for 5.20 months. It also included rank promotion of FMPHWs at par with other categories viz pharmacist, lab tech, dental tech, opth tech etc, promotion of FMPHWs who are trained LHVs as health educators at par with Male Multipurpose Health workers, the pay scale of FMPHWs and MMPHWs be upgraded, creation of posts of district pharmacy officers and block pharmacy officers, creation of posts of section officers in all the CMO offices and posts of head assistants at block level, enhancement of ITA in favour of basic health workers from Rs 45 to Rs 1000 per month. The other demands were pay scale of CHOs be brought at par with central grades and filling up of posts of CHOs in all PHCs, risks allowance to all categories working in health department, sanction of uniform allowance and risk allowance to field workers in UMCP Jammu, regularization of all pending cases of adhoc/contractual and consolidated employees, 2 ½ days pay incentive be released in favour of all non gazetted employees' including ministerial staff and framing of policy for regularization of person engaged under NRHM/NCD and HDF besides enhancement of their remuneration. |
