| For BJP leaders, "English speaking course" takes frontage | | Jitendra's elite rise leaves Sangh's pledge in deferment | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 31: Rise of Dr Jitendra Singh, within three years, from a primary BJP member to a Union Minister, has inspired many party leaders to go for English speaking course for their progress and growth in the party. Apart from learning English, there is mad race among BJP leaders, who aspiring to get mandates for the coming Assembly elections, to learning Constitution especially Article 370 for projecting themselves as articulated intellectual. Earlier, BJP leaders preferred to develop good relations with RSS leadership and it was always their priority to attend RSS functions to remain in the good books of RSS leaders but these days everything has been reverted. Instead of attending RSS Shakas, BJP leaders preferred to spend precious time in English speaking classes. Earlier, BJP leaders while introducing themselves also mentioned years of their "Sangh Parvesh" but these days they tried to speak in English while giving their introductions to impress their BJP bosses. It is all due to the fear of losing Legislative Assembly seats that most of the BJP leaders these days trying to speak English because three English speaking journalists and two advocates have been projecting themselves as strong contenders for Assembly seats. These journalists and advocates have spread a message in the BJP circle that party high command wants to get rid of Sanghi Type leaders by replacing them with articulated English speaking lot. This message has sent a wave of fear among those BJP leaders who could not speak English but have a strong grass root footings and ideological commitment. "Speaking English has become a pre-condition to grow in BJP so I have decided to join English speaking course to impress some big bosses. Wasting precious time in RSS functions is not going to give us any political benefit", a BJP leader, who staking his claim on one of the Assembly seats of Jammu city, said while pleading anonymity. |
