| Regularize power connections : Bhalla to people | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 30 : Under Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Program (R-APDRP), the power Scenario in municipal limits Jammu shall be upgraded Minister for Housing, Horticulture, Culture, Youth Services and Sports Raman Bhalla.
RamanBhalla today said that. In this regard he directed the PDD to gear up its men and machinery.
This was informed by the Minister while interacting with people of Bhour Camp, Chatha Pind and Chatha Mill after assessing their power related problems, here today.
Chief Engineer M&RE Mtr Shahnaz Goni, Managing Director Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board Ram Paul Sharma, Executive Engineer PDD besides other senior officers from PDD accompanied the Minister.
He asked the accompanying officers to immediately replace the worn out wires and steel poles from Bhour Camp W. No. 2 to avoid untoward incident in the area.
He called upon the people to get their power connections regularized un-interrupted power supply. He said government was committed to provide regular power supply in metered areas of the State.
The Minister informed that second phase of R-APDRP costing Rs 1700 crore is aimed at improving power distribution system in targeted 30 towns and cities including Srinagar and Jammu. He said Government is formulating a project report for extension of R-APDRP to towns and other areas where under an area (town and village) with a population of 4,000 and above is proposed to be covered. |
