JAMMU, June 17: State Vigilance Organization (SVO) today registered case against Mushtaq Ahmad, then Assistant Director, CAPD Kashmir and others on the basis of an enquiry conducted into allegations of misappropriation of flour meant for ration depots According to a handout, a Joint Surprise Check was conducted into the allegations of misappropriation of flour meant for ration depots of Rambagh, Mehjoor Nagar and Gundibal of District Srinagar by Storekeeper Abdul Rashid in the year 2011-12, reveals that 75 quintals of flour have been received by Abdul Rashid vide challan No. 286, 287 and 289 dated 20.06.2011, which was duly acknowledged by him. Entire quantity of 75 quintals of flour was misappropriated by storekeeper in connivance with Mustaq Ahmad, then Assistant Director Stores, CAPD Kashmir, Qaiser Ahmad and other employees posted in Coupon section and Accounts section of Directorate of CAPD Kashmir, thereby causing loss to the State Exchequer to the tune of Rs 72,000. Commissions and omissions on the part of said accused public servants constitute the offences punishable u/s 5(1) (c ) r/w 5(2) J&K P.C. Act Svt. 2006, section 120-B RPC. Accordingly, case FIR No 23/2014 was registered in Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir and investigation taken up. |
