Jammu, June 17: District Police Udhampur on the eve of the celebration of J&K Police raising week organized, a mega show at District Police Lines Udhampur today to donate blood as a social contribution. On this occasion Garib Dass, DIG of Police U/R Range was chief guest along with Mohd. Suleman Choudhary, SSP Udhampur, Khalil Ahmed Poswal ,Addl.SP Udhampur and Dr. Chander Parkash, Superintendent District Hospital Udhampur were also present. DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range lamented the importance of donation of blood and saving the precious lives of needy persons. Subsequently, Dr. Chander Parkash, Superintendent District Hospital Udhampur also described the health status of donor and requirement of blood in District Udhampur particularly for the accident victims in National High Way.
Further, Garib Dass, DIG of Police U/R Range, Mohd. Suleman Choudhary, SSP Udhampur, Khalil Ahmed Poswal, Addl.SP Udhampur and other officer/officials of Police Department donated 20 units of blood to the blood bank of District Hospital Udhampur. During the camp, Dr. V.P Sharma, Secretary Red Cross Society Udhampur was also present in the camp that applauded the role of Police Department in making sacrifices for society particularly dealing with militancy and other extreme fronts. |
