JAMMU, June 17: Demanding early fulfillment of PoK refugees, the PoK Refugees Rights and Rehabilitation Forum (PoKRRRF) said that further neglect of the refugees will not be tolerated.
In a meeting held under the chairmanship of chief patron of the Forum, Vijay Sharma, the participants said that political parties have always been trying to make capital out of the grievances of the PoK Refugees by making false promises just to gain the political mileage but every time PoK Refugees were deceived.
The members hailed the newly elected NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the steps taken to rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits migrants.
The Forum also expressed hope that the central government will address all the grievances of PoK refugees in a time bound manner.
Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Ashish Sharma said that needful shall be done for one time settlement of refugees, their reservation in the professional colleges, their proprietary rights, reservation in the legislature house and other necessary measures as well. It is also desired that all the necessary steps shall be taken as soon as possible while the meeting also decided to submit a memorandum of the demands to the Prime Minister.
