Srinagar, June 17: Jammu and Kashmir High Court (HC) has directed the state government to deport a Saudi Arabia and a Pakistan National to their countries. The High Court gave the directions after hearing counsel of Noor-ul-Haq, a resident of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and Asgher Ali of Jandwalla, Bawalpur Pakistan and state counsel. The court in the order said there was no impediment in repartriation of Noor-ul-Haq to his native country. The court, further, directed the government to re-look into the identification aspect of Haq after his counsel pleaded that he (Haq) could not convey his correct name to officials at the time of detention with the result he was not identified by his country. In case of Asgar Ali, the court said he was not required in any case of substantive offence. Meanwhile, the court also quashed detention of another Pakistani national Zubair Talha Zarrar, booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) on December 14, 2013 for his alleged involvement in Bemina and Hyderpora fidayeen attack. He was facing trial under various criminal sections of RPC including murder and criminal conspiracy under Arms Act and Explosive Substances Act and 14 Foreigner Act in the cases lodged with police station Parimpora and police station Budgam. |
