Jammu, June 17 : With a view to have thorough discussion with Retired Police officers /officials of District Samba and a part of series of weeklong programmes being organized by District Police Samba to mark Raising Day of J&K Police; Anil Magotra, Superintendent of Police, Samba held a meeting with Retired Police Officers/Officials of District Samba in conference hall of DPO Samba. The meeting was attended by number of retired Police officers/officials which includes K.C. Pathania. Retired Dy. SP, Dewan Singh Retired Dy. SP. Sham Singh Retired ASI, Janak Raj Retired ASI, Ajeet Raj Retired ASI and Arjun Singh, Retired Head Constable. During the meet, the retired police officers raised numerous points which including demand of Rs 5000/- to be paid to the NOK's for funeral at the time of death of Retired Police Personnel. Possible financial help should be provided to them in case of serious health problem. They also demanded for accommodation at GOs/ NGOs mess at Srinagar & Jammu for their stay whenever they visit there as they had served at different places and have to visit there in connectionwith Court Attendances and other matters. They demanded accommodation at District Police Lines for conducting monthly meeting by them which has been acceded to by SP, Samba and directions were imparted to Dy. SP DAR Samba to earmark a room for them for the purpose. They also demanded that there should be fixed quota for the wards of retired Police personnel in the recruitment of Police Department. Finally, all the participants were assured by Anil Magotra, SP, Samba that their demands within his competency shall be fulfilled at the earliest and rest of the demands shall be projected to the higher authorities for appropriate redressal. |
