Jammu, June 17: All Senior Citizens & Pensioners Welfare Association (ASCPWA) held a meeting under the chairmanship of Dr Mohan Lal Gupta President of forum in which members discussed various issues of senior citizens and demanded state government to implement the Senior Citizen Act of India. During the meeting the members discussed problems being faced by the senior citizens and urged the state govt to implement the Senior Citizen Act of India. ASCPWA further asked the government to release 10% of DA due from January 2014, pending DA Installment of 6th pay commission and fourth Installment of 6th Pay commission in favour of pensioners and enhance the Medical Allowance from Rs. 300 to 1000 p/m because in the old age they need much medical aid which is too costly for them. ASCPWA also informed that Association wants to honour meritorious students of Resham Ghar Colony, Jammu and students with highest marks in Class-10th, 10+2 & B.A Final are advised to our association for their further consideration. Raghunandan Bali, S Harbachan Singh, Sham Sunder Sharma, Tilak Raj Mahajan, Saudhagar Mai, K K Vaid, R P Sharma, Vishno Jolly, H S Anand, Surinder Kohli, Pritam Ghai and K K Dutta were also present in this meeting. |
