| BJP exploits religious, regional sentiments of people: Ravinder Sharma | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 17: Member Legislative Council (MLC) and spokesperson JKPCC, Ravinder Sharma today criticized BJP for it's hallow slogans and to exploit the religious and regional sentiments of the people in the state. Addressing series of meetings at Nowshera and Sunderbani, Sharma said that BJP has been exposed for making hallow and divisive slogans for their pity political interests. The BJP has always exploited the regional and religion sentiments for their political purpose by raising emotional issues for ensuring their poll prospects, betrayed the mandate and faith of people of Jammu region. But the people are fully aware of their political tactics and cannot be befooled in the forth coming assembly elections. He said that Congress led UPA government has launched numerous projects in different sectors infrastructure and to generate employment and overall development of the state. He asked the party workers to strengthen the Congress party for equitable development of all three regions and parts of the state and to strengthen the bond of unity and integrity of the state. He listens to the problem of different sections of people regarding shortage of electricity, drinking water and ration besides, health education and road connectivity in different areas. He assured them to take all possible steps to address their problems. He asked them to reach out to the masses in their respective areas to highlight their problems and assured his full cooperation in this regard. Prominent party leaders, Sarpanchs/Panchs who highlighted the problems and put forth their suggestions for strengthening the party included Harbans Lal Bakshi-Block President Nowshera, Th. Shamsher Singh-Block President Sunderbani and others. |
